Warren Buffett (via nodicesoldier)
As a ~10% cube-fondler, I have to say that I’m not sure what old Warren is getting at. If it seems crazy to trade the golden cube for all US cropland, 16 Exxons, and scads of “walking-around money,” doesn’t it sound even crazier to trade it for 9.6 trillion little green pieces of paper with ugly faces on them? Also, about this:
In the future the U.S. population will move more goods, consume more food, and require more living space than it does now.
Are any of those things so obviously true? Goods are becoming increasingly electronic/immaterial, fertility rates are declining, maybe one day people’s diets will improve (lol j/k), and there is already an increased preference for smaller, more economical housing closer to urban areas. WHATEVER EVEN HOMER NODS.
